Watch List for Friday 5-6-2005

Once in a while I come across a company so solid and with so much potential, I have to bring it to everyone's attention. The company is TEDG.
If you're looking for the investment where you can squirrel money away and watch it grow this could be it. The company has proven technology, not promised technology but proven!!
First let's talk about the management. Have you heard of the company UTStarcom (UTSI), they had net sales of $2.7 billion in 2004. The 2 founder of UTSI have started another company called TEDG and have had a product in trial for 2 years and will be brining it to market this summer.
TEDG has created the world's first cellular phone VoIP system, what does this mean? Cellular calls will be routed through the internet. Large wireless areas will be setup with small base systems that require no FCC license and runs on an unlicensed frequency. This means there is less bureaucratic red tape and faster time to market. Read more about TEDG's Voip system at http://www.techedgeinc.net/solutions.htm
TEDG's system is targeted toward the prepaid wireless industry, since it can be easily deployed in lower income or rural areas. It is also great in tourist countries where people want to make calls homes. The system will also be licensed or sold to the major cell phone carriers. Keep in mind the founders of TEDG started UTSI which now has a market cap of over $1 billion. These guys know what their doing. I insist you read their bio at http://www.techedgeinc.net/team.htm
Quacomm China is in the final stage of deploying TEDG's system targeting 750,000 subscribers in ethnic Chinese communities across the US. TEDG is also in talks with Aloha PCS to deploy the system in Waikiki Hawaii.
Many people in minority communities throughout the US are unable to get normal cell phone plans due to bad credit or improper paperwork, so they are forced to spend disproportionate amount of their incomes on prepaid phone cards. An estimated $94 billion will be spent on telecom services in 2009 will come from US ethic communities. The TEDG VoIP system is a cost effective easy to deploy system that harnesses the internet.
All phone calls will eventually be made on VoIP systems, Vonage the largest Voip provider just announced this week, they reached 600,000 subscribers. It's so popular cause it's so easy. Calls are sent through the internet which really cuts down on costs. TEDG's Cellular Voip system, in my opinion is just outrageous genius. Who knows maybe one day the traditional wireless carriers maybe switch over to this system or buyout TEDG.
